These extremely durable smart switch modules are designed to withstand the most extreme automotive and industrial applications. Each timer module utilizes intelligent semiconductor technology that when subjected to a short circuit, over voltage, over temperature, and/or an overload condition the output will automatically turn off. This feature protects the module, wiring, and any components connected to the output.
REPEAT-CYCLE-DELAY EXPLANATION
On a Repeat-Cycle-Delay timer module the output automatically turns “ON” when the input or combination of inputs is in an active state (triggered). This time duration will keep the output energized until the preset time has elapsed. At the end of the “ON” duration, the output will de-energize and remain de-energized until the preset “OFF” time has elapsed. This cycle will repeat until the state of the input(s) becomes inactive or until a reset is performed by removing main power to pin 4. Repeat-Cycle-Delay for “ON” and “OFF” is specified when ordering and can be configured in seconds, minutes, hours, or even days.
If an input hysteresis greater than 0 Seconds is specified, the output switching time will be delayed by an additional amount of time. Hysteresis prevents the output from switching “ON” and “OFF” until an input has been activated for the time specified.
No matter the state of the input(s), the output will turn off immediately at any time when main power source to pin 4 is removed.
